For as long as I can remember, I have loved horses. I started my horse career
with a free horse given to me when I was 15. She was a 20 some year old, big drafty
mare named Morgan. Morgan had been starved and was almost dead when I got her. She
was so skinny I couldn't saddle her for six months, so I learned to ride bare back.
From there, I purchased an Arabian gelding, WMF Silver Flash, who I rode to Class
A Regional Dressage and Hunter classes. I quickly became the owner of 12 horses, a
mix of Arabians, Thoroughbreds off the track, and a
Quarter Horse here and there.
Fortunately, I married a horse savvy man who loves horses as much as I do.
We purchased our Hobby Farm of 10 acres, put up three pastures and a barn, and started raising
horses. After we had our two sons, we decided to raise Welsh ponies and cobs for a while so the
whole family could be involved. Now, we are left with a menagerie of breeds.
