Myself

I am a self-taught 90's Internet woman and made all these pages using a free html editor. I am also working on graphics with Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop. I began my online obsession way back in the 80's on a local BBS. I volunteered for a couple years for the Freenet and learned many things. When our family signed up for AOL, right away I wanted to make a web page. I am totally self-taught, started out with a basic hello page, and now am fairly proficient with HTML. I would like to go on and learn programming, but that will be in the future.

My Family

I am a lucky woman, I am still married to my first husband, we just celebrated 18 years of marriage. I wouldn't trade that for anything! I have two sons who keep me busy all that time and three additional children we are guardians for at the moment. Needless to say we keep busy! In 1987 I became a Christian and love the Lord with all my heart. My husband and I are currently attending a North Ave. Church of God (Anderson division) where we are teaching Children's Church for kids grade 5-6.

My Pets

We love animals in our family! We currently have nine horses-three Quarter Horses, four Arabians, one Welsh Pony, and an Appaloosa. Other pets we have an American Cocker Spaniel, one house cat, two bearded dragons, a multitude of fish, and four adopted barn cats.

My Career

kids who are different

I began my teaching career working with troubled youth in Alternative Education. In 1999, I went back to school for certification in Special Education. My passion has been in Transition for students and adults with disabilities. I spent many years teaching high school and young adults job skills. Currently I am a vocational evaluator for Goodwill Industries, helping people realize their employment goals.

I was accepted in the Spring of 2004 to Western Michigan University's Edcuational Ph.D. Program. I am looking forward to getting my Ph.D. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation and making a difference.
